In Austin, we're not just home to live music and weirdness. We've emerged as a foodie town with everything from fine-dining to famous food trucks and world-renowned BBQ. Yum. Our palette is more refined than you might think.
At Ash Creek Homes, we build our luxury homes with foodies in mind. After all, the kitchen is the heart of your home. It's where you grab that first cup of coffee to welcome a new day or cheers to the end of the evening with a glass of wine. It's where you sit down to family meals and mingle with friends.
Our kitchens combine beautiful design elements with functionality. You won't fumble to grab a pan that's out of reach or struggle with clumsy cabinets. Everything flows seamlessly! Here are the top four kitchen features our homeowners love:
Designed for functionality & style
When it comes to designing Ash Creek Homes kitchens, we consider the flow and efficiencies to ensure every inch is used to its best extent. We also talk to all of our happy homeowners to get their feedback once they've lived in their home, so we can incorporate it in our new floor plans. We love to hear how they live in their home and if there's anything they would change.
Since functionality and style go hand-in-hand, our kitchens feature white 42" upper cabinets with Shaker style doors that have full overlay doors and drawers. We also have a showcase upper cabinet with glass doors as an accent.
Details on-point with design trends
In our Serene Hills homes, every kitchen features gorgeous stainless steel chimney range hoods accented by a beautiful counter-to-ceiling backsplash. The standard tile selection is 6"x 6" ceramic tile. This design element is not only functional because spills and splashes are easy to clean up, but really makes the venthood pop by adding drama and flair to the focal point of the room.
In our model home in Serene Hills, we chose black tile for the backsplash because the kitchen has an abundance of natural light. It looks beautiful! *Homeowners have customization options with upgraded selections.
Countertops built to last
Another popular kitchen finish is the granite countertops. When it comes to food preparation and durability, granite is an ideal material. Granite has natural heat-resistant qualities, so it doesn't blister or get damaged. Plus, it's incredibly tough, so it's nearly impossible to scratch, dent or chip. Of course, you don't want to cut foods directly on your granite countertops because it will actually dull your knives! Granite is a porous material, but we make sure it's professionally sealed, so spills won't be absorbed.
Another great thing about granite is its beautiful coloration. It's also very sought-after by homeowners in Texas, so having granite countertops is beneficial for your home's resale value. *Granite comes standard in our Serene Hills kitchens with the option of upgrading to silestone (quartz).
Eye-catching farmhouse sink
Another kitchen feature in Ash Creek Homes (in Serene Hills) that always 'wows' our buyers is the farmhouse sink. This beautiful 36" single bowl comes standard in stainless steel. This style of sink -- also called an apron or apron-front sink -- is built so the front of the sink is exposed after it's installed. It's a clean, modern look that could even make rinsing dishes more fun.
This popular style can really be a game change for sometime who spends a lot of time cooking. It can accommodate large pots and pans easily. And in our pet-loving Lake Travis neighborhoods, you might discover a dog fits in there too! Another perk of a farmhouse or apron sink is you don't have to lean over as much, so it makes for a much more comfortable stand at the sink.
